Biography
  • Hockey Skating Director for Robert Morris University Island Sports Center where she conducts specialized hockey camps, clinics, team and player development programs for every level of youth and adult hockey player. 
  • Native of Peterborough, Ontario, one of Canada’s top hockey cities 
  • Received her start in power skating coaching with her hometown Peterborough Petes, a Major Jr. A hockey team. As well with the Oshawa Generals, Windsor Spitfires, and Erie Otters of the OHL. 
  • NHL Coaches Jacques Martin and the legendary Roger Neilson were among the first to seek Marianne for their Elite hockey camps. 
  • She was the exclusive power skating coach for Wayne Gretzky’s Future Stars Camps and was featured in Paul Coffey’s instructional video, “Skate like a Pro”. 
  • She was featured in a skating segment of, “Goals the Hockey Show”, an educational hockey program geared to minor hockey players and coaches that aired on TSN and ESPN. 
  • Recognized as a top coach in her field she was a presenter at the International Hockey Skating Symposium in Detroit and the first woman to present at the Roger Neilson Coaches Clinic in Windsor Canada on the 25th anniversary. 
  • She has worked in player development as a skating consultant for 5 NHL organizations, the Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, Anaheim Ducks, and Toronto Maple Leafs 
  • She has over 30 year’s International coaching experience at every level of the game from beginner to professional. 
  • Known as great communicator and one of the most technically updated coaches in the game. Her teaching focus is a combination of North American and European techniques designed to improve a player’s technical efficiency, first 2 steps, acceleration, quickness, speed, agility, lateral movement, confidence, and more. She shares her observations, positional and game related drills that she’s accumulated working with some of the best amateur and professional players and coaches in hockey
